Nice the Miracle Pup
Nice and her siblings were born in western Minnesota in early April. Shortly thereafter their parents killed some livestock and were removed by USDA-WS agents. When the agent was searching for additional wolves, he discovered the den and the Wildlife Science Center got permission from the USFWS to take in the pups. It was May, a cold snowy Saturday morning when our odyssey with this litter began. A mysterious illness plagued Nice and her litter-mates not long after their arrival, but Nice beat the odds. She has thrived and has maintained a close relationship with her humans. Recently she and her new pack met Lydia, their adoptive mother wolf, and it was a beautiful sight! We never thought she would have a chance to just be a wolf, but she is doing just that and loving life! Nice is our 2020 miracle puppy!
